ADPO Workshop on Maxillofacial Onco Prosthetics 2022- Fabrication of Orbital Prosthesis
We are pleased to inform you about our upcoming workshop on Maxillofacial Onco-Prosthetics to be held on 06th-08th August 2022 at Mumbai. Intense 3-day workshop that provides an excellent opportunity to 20 delegates for a complete DIY experience from impression to prosthesis delivery ! The workshop is aimed at an audience consisting of dental post-graduate students and practicing maxillofacial prosthodontists who regularly participate in rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients.
ADPO workshop 2019 (Mumbai)
Association of Dental and Prosthetic Oncology’s first workshop (MFP 2019) was conducted at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai on 30 August 2019 and 31 August 2019. This workshop received overwhelming response. 65 participants attended this workshop. One first day invited guest speakers gave lectures on various aspects of ‘Head Neck Cancer Rehabilitation by using Maxillofacial Prosthetics’. A live demonstration of all steps in fabrication of ear prosthesis by using medical grade silicone was given. On the second day of workshop demonstration and hands on training was given for fabrication of ‘Hollow bulb closed top interim obturator prosthesis for rehabilitation of maxillectomy defect’.

ADPO workshop 2020 (Latur)
Association of Dental and Prosthetic Oncology organized second workshop at Latur, Maharashtra. This workshop was conducted in collaboration with Maharashtra institute of dental sciences and research (MIDSR), Latur. This workshop was Dental Council of India (DCI) recognized CDE program and 30 delegates participated in it. This one-day program included lectures and demonstration of all clinical and laboratory steps in fabrication of maxillary obturator prosthesis and bite guide prosthesis. Delegates received hands on training for laboratory steps in fabrication of bite guide prosthesis. Dr. K. P. Dholam, Dr. Sandeep Gurav and Dr. Pankaj Kharade were faculty of this CDE program. Mr. Gorakh Ahire from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai demonstrated and assisted fabrication of maxillary obturator and bite guide prosthesis.

Association of Dental and Prosthetic Oncology along with Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Rugna Sewa Mandal’s Dental college and Hospital, Hingoli conducted a one-day workshop on ‘Intraoral Maxillofacial Prosthodontics’ on occasion of ‘National Prosthodontics Day’ 22/01/2021. In view of COVID-19 pandemic, this program was conducted in hybrid format. Dr. K.P.Dholam, Dr. Gurkaran Preet Singh, Dr.Jinesh Dugad and Dr. Sandeep Gurav were faculty for this program. Mr. Sagar Kulthe from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai demonstrated fabrication of maxillary interim obturator and bite guide prosthesis. This program was attended by more than 120 under graduate students and 30 post graduate students from various institutes.
